Edge of the deck, that is. I say there's never enough turtles in these parts, but thanks to sister Kathy, who celebrates her birthday today, there's one beauty in the back yard!

Odd things happen. Mama made a burlap flap for me to hide under on ultra-sunny days, in my new favorite spot. Today the flap was gone. Not a trace of it.

A New Secret Spot

Been hiding in these old crates left on the porch. Perfect for shade when the sun is too hot to handle. Another benefit is that blackberry bush will be dropping fruit soon. Dare I say "lavish"?
